OBama has the perspective and insight of a community organizer. He has seen the poor struggle for survival and all the sad stories that go along with the inner cities. He wants the country to feel their pain, and he wants to punish the capitalistic system that he believes has caused these problems. He sees himself wielding the sword of revenge for the downtrodden people. I understand, but this is not the way.
This reminds me of a story common to most: My daughter, which is ten, ask me one morning on the way to school a great question. After hearing a talk show radio host she ask me " what is the difference between a Republican and a Democrat?" Wow, how do I explain this to a ten year old. What I said was " Would you rather I give you a fish or teach you to fish?" She thought for a moment and then said " teach me to fish" I ask why? She said " because then I could have fish anytime I wanted for the rest of my life" I told her that the Dems want to give you the fish and Repubs want to teach you to fish. This is what she said at ten! As she would say " I have a big brain" and she does. Obama, could take this very simple example and apply it to his proposals and the country. We would then be on the road to recovery in more ways than one.
Another speech filled with platitudes. We are not quitters, we can overcome, we are the best, blah, blah, blah. The only thing that I saw was how Obama dislikes wall street and especially the evil bankers. Believe me I have no love for the the credit card companies and banks that have squeezed small business with unethical and immoral policies. But, for the president of the United States to stand up at his bully pulpit and basically say " I am going to punish capitalism because it is bad, blaming the recession on wall street and banks etc. is disregarding the fundamental truth. Make no mistake, he believes he is punishing capitalism and this is what his followers want to hear. Obama believes capitalism is the villain. Let me correct his position. Politicians playing around with the free market system got us into this mess. The basic premise of capitalism is to make money, a profit. This is what drives the system. When politicians try to place their social agendas into the system, business will find a way to make money, and they did. Remember, the Bush administration saw the danger and tried to inject changes. They were blocked by the Dems. However, I do blame Bush for not yelling loud enough, taking the threat to the public.
Obama's speech sounded good, he is a good speaker. However, he continues to believe that he can convince the business world that his program will work without real substance. The business world is and has graded his performance and ideas. Since the election and numerous speeches he has lost the stock market,it has tanked. He cannot talk it up. The misconception is that Obama wants the stock market to rally, this is not true, he does not care, he is punishing the capitalist! Here substance counts and that is the one thing he does not bring to the table.
He is a contradiction within himself. He is spending trillions in one breath, we must be fiscally responsible in another, and we must cut waste in yet another. He is going to hold states accountable for money received and micro manage from Washington. Yet, he and congress will not be accountable or held to the same standard. Is it any wonder he cannot get traction. He is a Flem flam man, believing he can talk the economy into recovery. He also believes that just throwing money into the system will work. Otherwise he would not have allowed Pelosi and Reid to put all the pork into the stimulus. It is on the job training and he is in over his head.
Obama and his rhetoric has cost the market and investors trillions in value. This money has been taken from the private sector and now the government has to borrow the money to place it back into the private sector. Is this a form of intentional control of our lives? I say it is and it is definitely their plan. Push the country to the point that the majority ask Obama to save us at any cost. How long will it take for the country to rebel against Marxism. Obama will not be happy until the majority of the population is on some form of welfare!
