Intended or Unintended Consequences

So much change in such a short time. You support those that support Democracy! Honduras was about to experience the same fate as Venezuela and Nicaragua; however, the Supreme Court and congress ask the military to step in to support their constitution. Why are power hungry, tinhorn dictators all of a sudden emboldened to thwart or change their constitution to benefit themselves? They see Obama either as weak or as one of them. I believe the later based on his support of the ousted would be dictator and friend of Chavez, Castro and Ortega. I see Socialist hands all over this move. The Socialist in south America are moving to consolidate a power base before a new president takes office in the U.S. I also, believe that Chavez and Ortega will make a move towards Honduras. What will Obama do? I believe he will support the Socialist movement in South America and around the world. He is meddling in Honduras in support of a Chavez wannabe. At least the Honduran Supreme Court and congress read between the lines and did not like what they saw coming, unlike many in the United States.

Something bigger than thy self?

Where is the outrage as to what is happening in this country.  You may not agree with Big business but you should agree even less with Big government! Why didn't just one of those CEO's up before congress stand up and walk out of the hearings in protest? Is the American public asleep? If they do not see the danger and have a willingness to act, who will? Government is out of control!  The risk takers that built this country should be looking in the mirror and realizing that the movement taking place in this country must be countered. What is happening is larger than any of us.  We must look inward and realize that we are in a war and it is larger than thy self.  A message must be sent to Washington that unless you  back off tens of thousands of businesses will close their doors, the flow of money must be cut off to counter this insane policy..  Business is under attack on national and state levels.  Business is made out to be the bad guy while government is saying "I will save you" as they lead the country down a path too socialism and away from capitalism.  Since big business will not stand up, will small business have the guts to do what it has to do? STRIKE!!

California Leadership?

The Sacramento Bee again had a couple of articles today (Sun. 18,2009)on page E6 that again gives insight to the Bee's position. They always seem to miss their place in all this economic mess as do most of the major newspapers.  The only person that appears to have a good common sense approach to the economic disaster is Dan Walters.  The declining revenues reflect their biased positions and a lack of balance.  Can we count on the Bee for true and unbiased reporting upon which to make intelligent decisions that effect our lives.  I don't think so, nor should we.  However, for the bee to blame everyone else for the reasons we are at this juncture is wrong.  They do have influence and they themselves are influenced with their union bias etc.  They attempt to sway the population as opposed to educate.

It is true we get what we vote for, however, the current crop of so called leaders including the governor are very knowledgeable  at one thing, getting votes.  Beyond this they have little real world experience. They understand how to get donations and little else and yet we put our future in  their hands.  There are many reasons we have been placed in this dire economic position.  Leading the reasons would be leadership at the top.  I voted for Arnold because I believed he had identity and would use his bully pulpit to educate and bring California's population to understand that you cannot keep voting for more government without paying the consequences.  That Business is not the bad guy and will leave the State if they cannot compete in a world economy, that the high income people that pay most of the taxes will leave or shelter money if pushed to far.  I was born in California and like many I love California.  I will not leave, I will fight.

I made a huge mistake voting for Arnold (would not vote for Grey) because I did not see something very important in a leader. PERSONAL CONVICTON, DEDICATION and COMMITTMENT!!  I believed that we had a leader and he would travel California until hell froze over to get his point pounded into people's minds, that he would not give up! Again I was wrong!  California has gone from Number five to number eight in the world economically. Is this what we want?  Think about what this means to all of us and our childrens children.

The same is true of the legislative branch, they have only one thing in mind, get the donations to stay in office and pursue their personal agendas. It is tragic but, again we get what we vote for.

IT DOES MATTER WHO AND WHAT YOU VOTE FOR!  READ,LISTEN,WATCH and REMEMBER from year to year and be ready to vote for the right person with shared convictions,CORE CONVICTIONS.

I am afraid the sting of state bankruptcy may be necessary to awake the voters.  People from the great depression never forgot the lesson of that era.  We cannot continue to duped by politicians wake up and get involved.
